The 1981 Albin Double Cabin is a classic trawler that embodies the brand's reputation for sturdy and reliable vessels. Known for its practicality and seaworthiness, this model is a favorite among cruising enthusiasts who appreciate its efficient use of space and solid construction. Measuring 36 feet in length with a 13-foot beam, this trawler is powered by diesel, offering efficient fuel consumption ideal for long-range cruising. With a fuel capacity of 350 gallons, a fresh water tank of 220 gallons, and a holding tank of 20 gallons, this vessel is well-equipped for extended stays on the water. The spacious interior layout provides ample storage and comfortable accommodations, making it perfect for those looking to live aboard or enjoy weekend getaways. However, potential buyers should consider the age-related maintenance needs, such as possible teak deck leaks, window seal issues, and the need for electrical system upgrades. Despite these considerations, the Albin Double Cabin remains a compelling choice for those prioritizing practicality and durability over speed and luxury. Located in Port Charlotte, Florida, this trawler is competitively priced at $33,500, offering great value for those seeking a reliable and efficient cruising vessel.
Rugged construction and exceptionally seaworthy, “Aurora” is a Albin 36’ Double Cabin Trawler that is ideal for those who enjoy the look, style and function of a classic trawler. A dream for many couples and families is The Great Loop. Aurora has done the Loop twice. The latest was with the current owners. The desired height for bridges and the fold down mast make it possible. The couple who currently own this Albin Double Cabin Trawler have traveled extensively and cared for her through their many adventures. “Aurora” sleeps 6 in Fore and Aft cabins and an L-shaped Convertible settee in the Salon. She has 6’5 headroom, two private head compartments, the master has both a shower and a tub and she’s Air Conditioned. She has a generator, windlass, a teak swim platform, davits and secure rails all around the decks. She has both Upper and Lower Helms with controls, see below equipment list. She is powered by the reliable 120 HP Ford Lehman engine with 4620 hours and has a bow thruster. Creature Comforts are abundant aboard this trawler. She does need flybridge canvas. The old canvas pieces and the stainless frame is onboard. These owner’s have enjoyed Aurora for several years but life is telling them that it is time for New Owners to enjoy her. As you board Aurora, you'll first notice the wide, easy-access side decks leading to the forward and aft sections of the boat. The aft deck is spacious, offering plenty of room for seating, fishing, or enjoying the view. It’s also equipped with a ladder for easy access to the flybridge, where you can enjoy commanding views of your surroundings while underway. Moving into the salon, from either port or starboard sliding doors you're greeted by a warm, inviting space with large windows providing plenty of natural light. The comfortable seating area is perfect for relaxing or entertaining guests, with a pedestal table for dining or game nights. A well-placed helm station is located forward in the salon, providing excellent visibility for navigating while still remaining close to the living areas. To port, the galley is designed for efficiency, offering a propane cooktop, microwave, fridge and freezer, along with ample counter space. There's plenty of storage for kitchen essentials, making long-distance cruising or weekend cooking a breeze. The forward cabin features a large V-berth, providing a comfortable sleeping space with a large freezer on the port side. The aft cabin boasts a queen-sized bed, making it perfect for the owners or guests. Both staterooms have plenty of storage, built-in drawers and hanging lockers. The heads are conveniently located near both cabins and are designed for easy access. The master includes a full-size tub/shower, toilet, and sink, offering everything needed for comfortable living aboard.
