The Island Hopper 30 offers a 12-foot beam for unmatched stability and comfort while trolling or at anchor. She planes out quickly, providing fast speed and economical operating costs. Hull design has a deep-V entry forward changing to a flat three-degree deadrise aft. Double-wide chines and a self-bailing deck are also strong points. Beam at widest point is 12 feet. Hull construction is of hand-laminated glass, woven roving of eight to 18 laminations resulting in a one- to two-inch layer in the bottom of the hull. All critical points such as chines, bow, and keel are strengthened with extra layers of glass, and the bottom is stiffened with four longitudinal stringers. Two 100-gallon fuel tanks provide long range cruising. It has an Economical Cat 3208 diesel engine.\xa0</span></p><ul> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Solid fiberglass hull, 100% hand-laid w/vinylester barrier coat</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Molded keel\xa0</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Molded hand-laid cap, foredeck & gunwales</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Continuous rigid PVC rubrail</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Roomy cuddy cabin w/vee berth & storage</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Manual marine head</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">4’ x 6’ fiberglass motor box, 13” high</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">200 gallon capacity fuel tanks w/shut-off valves</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">“Racor” fuel/water separator</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Bronze raw water strainer</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Bronze external scoop strainer</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Structural aluminum motor mounts thru-bolted to stringers</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Fiberglass exhaust system</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Stainless steel shaft\xa0</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Bronze stuffing box\xa0</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Bronze strut, rudder, rudder port, collar & tiller arm</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">Bronze 3 blade propeller</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">All thru-hulls below water line are bronze w/full-flow valves</span><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ;">\xa0</span></li></ul><p style="margin-top:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0in;line-height:normal;font-size:11pt;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; color: black;">The Island Hopper 30 was originally developed over 3-1/2 decades ago to fill the need for a small, versatile, commercial grade vessel with strength, durability and a long working life that could be bought for, and maintained at, a reasonable cost.
