The best-selling midsize convertible of her day, the Hatteras 46 went head-to-head against the Bertram 46 Convertible for popularity during the late 1970s and early ’80s. With her spacious accommodations and upscale teak interior, the Hatteras 46 set the standards for every other boat in her class. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a full-length keel, several interior plans were offered over the years.
Last in a series of Hatteras 46 Convertibles going back to the mid-1970s, the sleek lines of the Hatteras 46 embodied the fresh styling common to all Hatteras convertibles in the 1990s. In terms of popularity, this version of the Hatteras 46 Convertible failed to achieve the sales success of her predecessors. Heavily built on a modified-V hull with a shallow keel, two interior plans were available. The dual head layout provides for exceptional privacy. Both include a spacious, well-appointed salon with L-shaped settee to port and a large galley open to the salon. The master stateroom with tapered queen berth is forward while over/under berths are found in the guest stateroom. Interior cabinets and trim are light ash, and a salon entertainment center. The 121 square-foot cockpit—one of the largest in her class—includes in-deck fish box, transom door, boat was not fished.
«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
