Express Cruiser

Overview & Design

• The Tiara 3500 Open is a 35-foot express cruiser / sport-fishing yacht. 
• It has a curved reverse transom with a molded transom door and gate, plus an integrated swim platform and a bow pulpit. 
• The hull is a modified V-berth (V-hull), giving a good balance of performance and seakeeping. 
• Construction is hand-laid fiberglass with a water-barrier outer gelcoat, and the stringers are vacuum-sealed wood/foam core. 
• Underwater fittings (through-hulls) are bronze; exhaust is hull-side.

• Length Overall (LOA): ~35′ (about 10.67 m)

Propulsion / Performance

• Powered by twin Cummins 6BTA 5.9-M3 inboard diesel engines. 
• Each engine is rated at 370 hp. 
• Steering: Teleflex system, with a 20″ stainless steel “destroyer” wheel. 
• Rudders / Struts: Bronze “axe-head” rudders.
• Engine room has good insulation, plus hydraulic (or electric) lift for the engine hatch for service access. 

Accommodations (Interior)

• Cabins: One main cabin: forward stateroom with a queen-size pedestal berth. 
• Salon / Dinette: Convertible lounge / dinette. The lounge backrest can flip up to become a “pullman-style” upper berth. 
• Galley: Full galley with Corian countertops, stainless sink, microwave, two-burner electric stove, refrigerator / freezer, good storage. 
• Head / Bathroom: One enclosed head with a VacuFlush toilet and a molded fiberglass shower. 
• Interior Finish: Teak joinery, teak-and-holly sole, good-quality woodwork.
• Ventilation / Light: Six oval portlights (with screens) for natural light. 
• Headroom: About 6′6″ in the salon; 6′4″ in the stateroom area. 

Deck / Cockpit Features

• The cockpit is roomy: it includes a double-wide back-to-back helm seat + L-shaped companion seat. 
• There's a wet bar aft of the helm, and (optional) an ice maker. 
• Helm station: “Heads-up” fiberglass tilt-away helm, which helps with visibility and ergonomics, and allows full flush-mount electronics. 
• Deck surface non-skid: Tiara’s custom diamond-pattern non-skid, for safer footing. 
• Windshield: Welded aluminum frame + 1/4″ safety glass, with wipers / washers, plus a center vent section. 
• Bow access: Wide side decks with welded rails + a molded bow pulpit. 
• Deck hatches: Three aluminum deck hatches with screens and privacy covers. 

Mechanical / Systems

• Freshwater cooling for the engines, which is beneficial for longevity.
• Electric dual engine hatch lifters (for accessing the engine room). 
• Automatic fire suppression system in the engine room (per some brokers). 
• Trim tab system installed. 
• Fuel filtration: Racor filters. 
• Electrical: 12V DC + 120V AC systems; shore power hookup; battery charger; battery switches. 
• Generator: Some listings have a Westerbeke 5.0 kW genset (depends on specific boat). 
• Heat / AC: Air conditioning / heat system (reverse-cycle in some).
