Wellcraft introduced the Coastal the 270, designed for a family who wants solid fishability combined with a safe, seaworthy cabin boat providing loads of roomy accommodations.
Obviously, the express-design concept works best for families as it keeps everyone together. The 270 Coastal makes no exception. Whether cruising or running to the fishing grounds, everyone is within whispered-conversation distance thanks to the wraparound lounge to port and the starboard helm seat. Also close at hand on the bridge deck: tons of dry storage, a sink and for fishermen, a 42-gallon Kodiak Pro Flow baitwell that can double as an additional insulated drink box.
Wellcraft includes the hardtop as standard, right down to the spreader lights and rod holders. You’ll find four more stainless-steel rod holders in the gunwales with rod racks below. In addition, two large fish boxes with pneumatic rams and macerators round out the fishing features.
Despite its compact 27-foot length, the 270 Coastal interior provides lots of room. Parents can enjoy the privacy of the forward V-berth, while the kids can occupy the aft cabin. Not enough space? A dinette table coverts to a full V-berth for additional sleeping capacity. Also below: a full galley and enclosed head with shower. You’ll find it hard to believe that this is a 27-footer when you stand upright in the 6-foot-4-inch cabin. The galley boasts a microwave, refrigerator and stove, making this vessel qualify as a second home according to Uncle Sam.
«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
