Located in Frankfort, Michigan, this vessel is perfect for serious anglers looking to tackle offshore sportfishing or enjoy day cruising with a fishing focus. Potential buyers should consider the typical maintenance needs of a vessel this age, including attention to electrical systems and the bilge pump. 2006 28' Carolina Classic – Twin Volvo D4 260HP Diesels – Fully Equipped Well-maintained 2006 Carolina Classic 28, powered by reliable twin Volvo D4 260HP diesel engines with approximately 2,000 hours. Known for its solid build and offshore capabilities, this boat is ready for serious fishing or cruising. POWERBOAT GUIDE DESCRIPTION: A revised version of the Albemarle 280 Express, the Carolina Classic 28 evolved when former Albemarle employee Mac Privet started Carolina Classic in 1992. Construction is solid fiberglass, and her wide 10'6" beam results in a very roomy cockpit. In spite of the fact that she’s a dedicated fishboat, the 28 has a surprisingly complete cabin below with a big V-berth, standup head with shower, compact galley, air-conditioning, and teak-framed joinery. The engines are very accessible—the entire bridge deck can be raised on a pair of hydraulic rams at the push of a button. The cockpit has plenty of room for a mounted chair and includes a pair of in-deck fish boxes, rod holders, transom livewell, tackle center with sink, and fresh- and saltwater washdowns. Additional features include side-dumping exhausts, wide side decks, high gunwales, and a well-arranged helm with room for flush-mounted electronics. Among several engines offered over the years, twin 300hp Volvo gas engines (with jackshafts) will cruise at 25–26 knots. Twin 250hp inboard Cummins diesels cruise at 25 knots (30+ top), and 330hp Cummins cruise at 30 knots (mid 30s top). Key Features: • Twin Volvo D4 260HP diesel engines (approx. 2000 hours) • Air conditioning • Full salmon fishing gear included • New Garmin electronics package • Night vision system • Spacious cockpit and comfortable helm area • Classic Carolina ride and performance Whether you're trolling for salmon or heading offshore for the weekend, this Carolina Classic is built to perform and equipped to keep you safe and comfortable. *Showings by appointment only FINANCE & DELIVERY OPTIONS AVAILABLE Contact today to schedule a showing or for more details.

The spacious cockpit is perfect for serious fishing enthusiasts, while the cabin provides basic amenities for short stays. Ideal for dedicated anglers, the 28 Express may not suit those seeking luxurious accommodations or modern amenities. However, for those who value performance and reliability in a fishing vessel, it remains an excellent choice.
Owners appreciate the Carolina Classic 28 Express for its durability and offshore capabilities, though some note the need for regular maintenance on older models.
