The 2007 Egg Harbor 43 Sport Fisherman is a classic sportfishing vessel that combines traditional styling with robust construction and excellent offshore capabilities. Egg Harbor is renowned for its quality craftsmanship, and this model is no exception, offering a solid fiberglass hull and spacious cockpit designed for serious sportfishing activities. With a length of 43 feet and a beam of 15 feet, this convertible sportfisher provides ample space for both fishing and relaxation. It features two cabins and one head, making it suitable for weekend getaways or extended fishing trips. Powered by diesel engines, it boasts a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 33 knots, offering a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency with a 600-gallon fuel capacity. This vessel is perfect for avid sportfishing enthusiasts who appreciate classic design and reliable performance. It's also ideal for those considering charter fishing operations or weekend cruising with family and friends. While the interior layout may feel dated compared to modern designs, the Egg Harbor 43 Sport Fisherman compensates with its solid construction and stable ride in offshore conditions. Potential buyers should be aware of common issues such as deck hardware corrosion and the possibility of outdated electrical systems. However, the vessel's strengths, including its durable hull and spacious cockpit, make it a compelling choice for serious anglers. Located in North Palm Beach, Florida, this sportfisher is competitively priced at $365,000, reflecting its condition and the brand's reputable standing in the sportfishing community.
New Jersey builders have a reputation for creating seaworthy fishing boats. That heritage continues with the Egg Harbor 43 convertible. Egg Harbor challenged the Michael Peters design team to develop a fast, dry-running surface, since the company has a long history of building top-flight offshore boats. The resulting slightly concave bottom boasts prop pockets affording the 43 a shallower draft for transiting the Bahamas banks or shallow waters up and down the Eastern seaboard. But more importantly, the pockets allow a narrower shaft angle. Anytime you can direct your thrust more closely parallel to the water’s surface, you gain efficiency. Combine this with a moderate dead rise of 17 degrees at the transom and you can expect a smooth ride and better fuel performance. Many offshore anglers cling to the philosophy that a smaller boat fishes better than a larger one. The Egg Harbor 43 sits in a smaller category of Sportfish. In addition to having a fully equipped cockpit with all the serious fishing amenities and plenty of room for a fighting chair, the 43 spins on a dime. She is very nimble and quick to react. The cockpit has a freezer, engine room access, tackle center with freshwater sink, large fish box and freshwater and raw-water wash downs. The flybridge features a retractable electronics console with plenty of room for your entire navigation electronics. 2 Large Helm Chairs and Bench Seating with storage and excellent vision all around finish off the flybridge. A Teak Control Pod with Palm Beach Single Levers. The interior of the vessel is finished in glossy teak. The layout is with a settee to starboard, a U-Shaped galley forward and a counter top to starboard forward of a sectional seat. Below decks features a master cabin forward with a centerline queen-size island berth, loads of storage and a cedar-lined hanging locker. The starboard guest stateroom offers a slightly smaller, full-sized berth with under-bed storage, linen drawers, a nightstand, and another cedar locker. In reality, this 43' has it all, to do day trips or extended stay away cruises. "Mañana" has never been fished at all by the 1 owner, maintained to high standards and has very low hours. Do call me today to set up an inspection, before this lil Sportfish disappears.
The Egg Harbor 43 Sport Fisherman is a testament to the brand's commitment to quality craftsmanship and traditional design. Known for its solid fiberglass hull, this vessel offers excellent durability and a stable ride, particularly in offshore conditions. The spacious cockpit is designed with sportfishing in mind, providing ample room for anglers to work. While the interior may feel dated compared to modern sportfishers, the high-quality woodwork and classic styling have enduring appeal. In terms of value, this model is competitively priced at $365,000, reflecting its condition and the brand's reputation. A marine surveyor would likely focus on inspecting the deck hardware for corrosion, checking for any signs of water intrusion around deck fittings, and evaluating the condition of the electrical systems. This vessel is ideal for serious anglers who appreciate traditional design and are willing to invest in maintaining its classic features. Overall, the Egg Harbor 43 Sport Fisherman is a reliable choice for those who prioritize solid construction and offshore capability over modern amenities. Buyers looking for a vessel with cutting-edge technology might consider newer alternatives, but for those who value a stable ride and classic appeal, this model remains a strong contender.
Owners of the Egg Harbor 43 Sport Fisherman appreciate its solid build and classic design, though some note the need for updates in older systems.
