The 2017 Sumerset Houseboat is a testament to the brand's commitment to comfort and livability. Known for their spacious interiors, Sumerset houseboats are a popular choice for those seeking a floating home experience. The build quality is solid, with aluminum hulls providing durability and a wide beam offering excellent stability. However, these vessels are best suited for calm waters like lakes and rivers, as their design does not favor rough seas. From a surveyor's perspective, attention should be paid to potential wood rot and aluminum hull pitting, as well as the condition of the plumbing and electrical systems. While maintenance can be costly due to the complexity of onboard systems, the vessel's strong resale value and reputation for comfort make it a worthwhile investment for those prioritizing space and livability over speed. Ideal buyers are retirees or families looking for a long-term liveaboard option, with the ability to customize their living space to suit their needs.
Owners appreciate the spacious interiors and solid construction of Sumerset houseboats, making them a preferred choice for liveaboards.
