Marine Trader Trawlers have been loved in the cruising trawler community ever since they first came to the market. Their luxuriously spacious interiors are beautifully designed, with aesthetics and comfort in mind. Marrilee, a 1979 40 ft Double Cabin, is a fine example of this, with an incredible amount of space and storage. Her main cabin serves as a pilot house, galley, and salon. The spacious wood interior is calming and warm, with many large windows to let in the light. A comfortable settee is to port, and the galley on the starboard side has it all, storage, counter space, and a brand-new stainless-steel convection/microwave oven. Forward of the galley, the interior helm station has many upgraded features and incredible visibility.
Marrilee’s aft stateroom is both cozy and spacious, with a queen berth and an ensuite full head, including a bathtub! The forward stateroom has a v-berth arrangement and also has its own ensuite head with a showering area.
The exterior features a spacious top deck with multiple seating options and a full helm station as well. The side decks are wide and accommodating, with Teak guard rails for safety and style. This teak is in overall good condition but needs some varnish!
Overall, many expensive upgrades have already been completed. She does need cosmetic TLC, as well as some carpentry work in her interior, as there are some areas of older water damage, mainly in the aft stateroom, that need attention.
Marrilee will make a perfect Looper, and with her 400-gallon fuel capacity the Bahamas and the Caribbean are well within reach.
