This 1980 Huckins Sports Cruiser is ready for comfortable cruising, and the second of two Sport Cruisers built by the Huckins Yacht Corporation. Graced with traditional Huckins lines, PLUTO has a composite/fiberglass hull making her much easier to maintain than the conventional glass-over-wood construction. 

Since 2019, she has been extensively updated with new engines, shafts, propellers, and generator. A newly installed bow thruster makes docking a breeze. The addition of solar panels makes it possible to avoid the crowds at expensive marinas, as most of the house systems can be run off the solar panels or the generator! With upper and lower steering positions, she’s a perfect boat for all conditions and can easily be handled by two people. Extraordinary interior storage, three-zone A/C, a complete galley refit with an induction cooktop and 7.5 cu ft Isotherm refrigerator/freezer, plus ample space for seating in the salon and cockpit, makes PLUTO the perfect boat for entertaining family and friends, or for extended coastal cruising for years to come.

PLUTO spent much of her life under-cover on the Ortega River until she was brought to New England in 2020. She has been maintained with a no-expense-spared budget. Survey issues were addressed plus additional improvements were made to the boat to make her ready for long term and extremely comfortable cruising.
