Cape Dory Yachts, a Massachusetts-based builder of fiberglass sailboats, powerboats and pleasure trawlers, operated from 1963 - 1992. By the 1980s, Cape Dory had built hundreds of sailboats, many of which were designed by the Swedish maritime architect Carl Alberg who was known for simple lines, a narrow beam and a full keel for seaworthy sailing. When the company decided to build a powerboat, Alberg’s philosophy carried through to an uncomplicated, capable, sturdy cruiser with traditional trawler lines. The Cape Dory 28 debuted in 1984. During its decade-long production run, she set a standard for the fleet of salty Downeast-style cruisers. The 1986 model is a popular on the used boat market, valued for her sturdy construction, comfortable accommodations, and reliable performance. DORY DAZE is an exceptional example of this classic, which is a favorite among trawler enthusiasts for good reason. DORY DAZE is in is in beautiful condition and has been professionally maintained ovet the past two decades of ownership. She is powered by a 165 hp Volvo TAMD 40B with 2090 hrs and is equipped with a VHF, compass, a Furuno GPS, and a Garmin echomap SV. The pilot house opens to the Main Salon which is spacious, filled with natural light, and warmed by teak cabinetry and a teak-and-holly sole. The Galley has a stainless steel sink, a mini-refrigerator, and a 2-burner Origo stove. There is an L-shaped convertible settee with a teak drop leaf table, and below deck there is V-berth and a marine head forward. DORY DAZE has been well-loved and maintained and is ready for new adventures. Don’t miss out on this classic.

«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
