Catalina is well-known for their ability to design space and comfort in their boats without sacrificing build quality or performance. Such is the case with the Catalina 270 LE. This second-owner boat has been sailed exclusively on freshwater since new, and has been maintained impeccably over the years by both of her owners.
On deck, she features the desirable "sugar-scoop" style transom that opens the cockpit to the water. All lines lead aft for easy single or shorthanded sailing from the cockpit, and the only need to go forward is to set or strike the mainsail, or attach a reefing cringle. Forward, the anchor locker contains a Delta-style anchor with 200' of color-coded anchor rode, 40' of which is chain.
Down below there is a surprising amount of space for a 27 foot sailboat, and plenty of teak accents to provide a warm, classic look. A private aft cabin with queen berth includes a fan, LED lighting and a hanging locker. A private day head with shower is located to starboard, and the galley includes a 2-burner propane stove and stainless sink. The salon features settees port and starboard, and the boat includes two differently sized teak tables to customize the interior layout. Two louvered teak cabinets provide a good amount of storage, and the V-berth comfortable sleeps two.
Upgrades and improvements include:
Sail inventory includes an Ullman mainsail (2016), Ullman 135% jib (2016), and a lightly-used Doyle asymmetric spinnaker with dousing sock (2016).
Boat includes a custom steel cradle, docking/anchoring gear, fenders, and safety gear. Owner has detailed maintenance records available upon request!
«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
