Tempest represents this Carver 440 model at its best—combining the signature livability with efficient cruising performance, ideal for long-range cruising, entertaining, or full-time liveaboard comfort.

Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide 15' beam and a shallow full-length keel, the 440 offers excellent stability and interior volume. Her two-stateroom, galley-down layout features double berths both fore and aft, each with en-suite heads and separate stall showers—an impressive amenity for a vessel in this class.

The full-size dinette across from the galley creates a comfortable space for meals or entertaining, while the large salon is one of the most spacious you'll find in a 44-foot yacht. Expansive windows and generous headroom give the salon an open, airy feel, with ample seating and storage throughout. Owners had the option of teak or maple interior woodwork, providing a warm, classic yacht finish and the current owners have upgraded the boat to hard surface flooring throughout the salon and galley.

Above, the aft deck is cozy but functional, with easy access to wide side decks and a large, sociable flybridge that can comfortably host guests. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3116 diesels with under 900 hours, Tempest cruises economically at 17–18 knots with a top speed near 22 knots.
