The Pacific Seacraft 40 holds all the same design principals that her older sister the Crealock 37 and boats in the Valiant line. They sail well, are tough, and seakindly. These sisters are regarded as classic bluewater cruisers and to this day, exceed all their expectations for worldwide adventures. The Pacific Seacraft is designed with real world application in mind; Tapawingo has long overhangs, low freeboard, moderately long fin keel and skeg-hung rudder for great directional stability. Above the waterline, a cutter rig is used and both headsails are on roller furlers for switching modes quickly.

Below decks is a classic and practical layout that is safe for passage making and functional for entertaining. There are strategically placed teak grab rails overhead and the G-shaped galley at the base of the companionway is appropriately sized. The interior is well lit by many overhead and reading lights with six opening portlights and one overhead hatch that lets in a delightful amount of light into the main salon.
Tapawingo is traditionally constructed with solid with hand laid fiberglass near stanchions and chain plates and balsa core for lightweight strength everywhere else. The hull to deck flanges are bedded and through bolted then covered by a teak caprail. Under sail, Tapawingo, performs ably without taxing her crew, assuring you will arrive at your destination well rested and ready to carry on. Crealock designs were spec’d with the thought that “a crew should return from sea more rested than when they left.” The sail plan is manageable and ideal for one couple. Come let Tapawingo show for herself why she is the perfect platform for your travel dreams!
Transfer of owned 40-ft slip C-17 in picturesque Pleasant Harbor Marina (Hood Canal) is negotiable with the boat. Monthly marina maintenance fees are about $200 per month+electricity.
Highlights:
«Yacht Access found my first Hatteras for me over twenty-five years ago; since then they have helped me buy and sell four more boats – and become great friends. Their service during the sale is great, but their service after the sale they is exceptional – without the knowledge and guidance provided by Yacht Access I would never have had such a pleasurable ownership experience. The staff at DDYS knows everyone in the boat business and helped me find the best service and supply vendors to take care of my boats – I could not have owned five boats without them!»
