Sailing with safety and comfort at a good speed are the main characteristics of the new HR 31. This medium displacement modern hull is fitted with an efficient keel, rudder and a modern fractional rig. The result is a boat that can cope with all weather conditions safely, and will also give the owner many hours of pleasant sailing.
The interior is exceptionally well laid out, giving an air of spaciousness unusual for a boat of this size. There are two separate double cabins, one forward and one aft. With a full-size saloon, ample galley and complete chart table, it offers the amenities and comfort of a larger yacht.
There is excellent protection from the weather in the aft cockpit. The seats are two meters long, and part of the starboard seat lifts up to give access to a very generous stowage area. The hull and deck are built under the constant supervision of Lloyd's Register of Shipping. A Lloyd's certificate is supplied with each boat. Isophthalic polyester and NGA-gelcoat is used in the hull. The hand lay-up method used provides insulation above the water against heat and cold. There is strong floor reinforcement with good bilge space. The lead keel with bulb is bolted on with nine stainless steel bolts. Horizontal surfaces on deck, superstructure and cockpit are of sandwich construction. On deck, handrails are in teak, there is an aluminum toe-rail and teak in the cockpit and on the bathing platform. There are strong cleats forward, aft, and a spring cleat amidships. Windows are made from tempered glass in aluminum frames. Other deck features include a windshield with sprayhood and an easy-to-see compass in the instrument console above sliding hatch. In the stern is an integrated bathing platform with a folding ladder. It has a stainless steel rudder shaft with roller bearings, and tiller steering. For a yachtsman not interested in the latest racing gimmicks but in a proper 9.5 meter boat with a more than respectable speed and good cruising attributes, the HR 31 will be very hard to beat.
«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
