A question for SERIOUS FISHERMEN ONLY: would you take this rig ocean fishing or bay fishing? Chase tuna in the canyons or birdshows in the Chesapeake?
Offshore: you slice the OC Inlet like butter and reach the Canyons in ~ 70 minutes
Inshore: Solomons to Eastern Shore Islands and the Honga in under 30 minutes to hammer top water rockfish/stripers, redfish and trout before sunup. Chase bull reds or cobia down by the Target Ship or VA line late morning.
The "shearbreak" of the Buddy Davis (see image comparison in pics) gives her that sexy, recognizable flare and great rough water handing and maneuverability. Sure it's a narrower profile but you'll get more fishing days than your buddies who can't leave the dock in small craft warnings.
Key features:
Selling as owner can no longer fish.
