The S/V Margo is a beautifully crafted 2007 Delphia 33 Sloop, measuring an overall length of 32.75 feet. Built by the Polish sailboat designer known for quality of construction, fit and finish, the "S/V Margo" (and all Delphia boats) features outstanding cabinetry that can be contributed to excellent Polish workmanship. This vessel features a robust fiberglass hull with a displacement shape and a fin keel, ensuring stability and winning performance on the water. Selden spars have double spreaders, and all running rigging to the cockpit. All standing and running rigging are in excellent shape. All Lewmar 40 self-tailing, two-speed winches are upgrades from the stock boat, as well as a folding, three-blade Volvo propeller.
Powered by a reliable, efficient 30 HP Volvo D1-30B inboard engine (can be accessed from the front, back and side), this vessel offers a cruising speed of 7.5 knots and a maximum hull speed of 8 knots, making it an excellent choice for both leisurely sails and competitive, spirited adventures. An electric windlass with 180’ of chain and a Bruce anchor serves as ground tackle. The anchor locker is roomy and can store much more chain as well as other items.
The interior (with 6'5" of headroom) boasts two private, comfortable cabins with large berths (unusual for a sailboat of this size), two generous hanging lockers, and a well-appointed head. With a seating capacity for up to eight, this vessel is perfect for entertaining friends and family.
Another nice feature is the dinette, with a double seat situated opposite that can use the saloon table. The galley's refrigerator is in good working condition, and there is an abundance of storage there and on the boat overall.
The current and only owner of "S/V Margo" purchased it new from Admiralty Yacht Sales in Tacoma, WA. (Very few of these can be found on the West Coast.) She has won many races due to her fine design and build, and she has served as a wonderful, safe cruising boat throughout the Puget Sound, Straits of Georgia, British Columbia, and all areas between. An autopilot with wireless remote helps makes long journeys easier on the crew. This boat also makes single handing a dream!
The boat was hauled September 2022, had the bottom and rudder sanded to the gelcoat, and was painted with three coats of anti-fouling paint. The hull and decks were also polished.
The sail inventory of this vessel includes a fully battened main with stack pack and lazy jacks, and two roller furling Genoas, one a laminated 135% Genoa that is rarely used. A very rarely used Asymmetric Spinnaker with scoop sock and a never used carbon fiber spinnaker pole are included.
