“Cerca Trova” (ex: Captivator, Dealer Ship) is hull 43 of Westport’s 7700-series 112s—one of 64 refined hulls built. She was the second U.S.-delivered 112 to feature the new squared transom bustle, which increased gross tonnage and extended the aft deck by roughly 18". That extra length allowed the yard to enlarge the crew area—adding a fifth berth above the existing bunk in the aft crew cabin—and significantly expanded the lazarette for additional refrigeration and gear.
She was also the second U.S. boat factory-delivered with a passerelle that automatically deploys from the port aft stair, making Mediterranean-style mooring far easier. Unusually, she’s a U.S.-standard 60 Hz yacht fitted with a shore-power converter and 50 Hz outlets throughout—ideal for future European cruising.
Inside, her raised-panel mahogany interior required approximately 15,000 additional man-hours compared with the prior generation. She carries every enhancement found on 112s through 2017—and more—such as the added power converter, 50 Hz outlets, and a carbon-fiber boarding stair.
Bottom line: She’s an exceptional platform with tremendous potential and is ready for a committed owner to refresh and elevate her.
Best buy in a 112 Westport, period. Photos are dated but accurately reflect what’s aboard today. Serious buyers are encouraged to inspect in person.
This is a special-situation sale of “Cerca Trova,” and offered As-Is, Where-Is. The yacht can be readily inspected and surveyed at the dock. Should buyer require an out-of-water survey, towing to yard, and haul-out will be at the buyer’s expense. Photos shown are from several years back; the décor and arrangement are unchanged, but we encourage buyers to confirm current condition during inspection.
"Cerca Trova"'s best cruising days are still ahead, but she is currently in a state of disrepair, and is in need of:
Major Overhaul to Starboard Engine
Major Overhaul to Port Generator
The Starboard Generator needs to be rebuilt
Rebuild of the Passerelle in the transom
Rebuild of the hydraulics on the Davit
New Drawer Refrigerator in the Flybridge Bar
Stabilizer service
Painting of the Hull
Painting of the Underwater Hull and Gear
Replacement of headliners throughout *Plus any other unknown deficiencies a marine survey may reveal
«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
